This course provides mental health therapists and other helping professionals with the opportunity to explore some of the deeper concepts of the Internal Family Systems therapeutic model and the opportunity to become more familiar and comfortable with some of the basic concepts of IFS through experiential practice. 

This course provides a balance of didactic and experiential learning to support both an intellectual and somatic knowing and understanding of IFS.

This course is intended for therapists and practitioners that already have a basic understanding of IFS and are looking to deepen their skills and gain knowledge of more nuanced IFS techniques and concepts.

Course Objectives

  • Gain a deeper familiarity with the 6Fs  and the Unburdening/Healing Steps in IFS.
    the main therapeutic goal of IFS therapy 
  • ​Describe legacy & cultural burdens and how IFS works to unburden parts that carry these.
  • ​Explain the concept of polarized parts and how to work with them within the IFS model. 
  • ​Describe the concept of Direct Access and when to use it in the IFS process. 
  • ​Cite the IFS concept of unattached burdens and steps to take when a UB is encountered in a client’s internal system.
  • ​​Identify and describe Self-like parts and how to differentiate them from Self.
  • ​Use techniques to provide a direct experience of Self and parts in the system.

This training will lead you to be IFS-informed and offer it to your clients. This course is not a lvl 1 through IFSI.
However both facilitators are trained through IFSI, one is a certified IFS therapist and the other a certified IFS practitioner.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes! you can choose a monthly payment plan at check out for 1,2,3 or 4 months.

Can I earn CEU's for the course if I'm not a NM clinician?

For clinicians residing outside of NM, please check with your respective boards to see if CEU's issued through the NM counselling & Therapy boards are accepted

Can I say I am IFS informed after taking this course?

Yes, you will be IFS-informed after completion of this course.

Cancelation policy 

Cancel up to 2 weeks before trainings starts and you will get a full refund (subtracted $100 Admin fee.)

Anything less than 2 weeks there are no refunds. You can use the tuition for a future cohort or training.
