Deepen Your IFS Practice

This course provides mental health therapists and other helping professionals with the opportunity to explore some of the deeper concepts of the Internal Family Systems therapeutic model and the opportunity to become more familiar and comfortable with some of the basic concepts of IFS through experiential practice. 

This course provides a balance of didactic and experiential learning to support both an intellectual and somatic knowing and understanding of IFS.

This course is intended for therapists and practitioners that already have a basic understanding of IFS and are looking to deepen their skills and gain knowledge of more nuanced IFS techniques and concepts.

  • The course runs Thursday, October 23rd from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, Friday, October 24th from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm, and Saturday,  October 25th from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm 
  • ​Cost is $1775 for the 3 days at Ghost Ranch​. Payment plans available at check out.
  • ​You can bring a guest for an extra $165 which includes room, board and meals for the duration of the stay. 
  • ​Includes 2 nights in single private room and​ bathroom, 7 meals, and snacks during course.​
  • ​IFS workbook and other materials are provided to help guide you.
  • 15 CE from NBCC are available
  • Course will be limited to 20 participants due to the experiential nature of this course.

  • ​Explain the concept of unblending, differentiating sub-personalities from the "Self" as a to speak for our parts as opposed to from, reactive affective states or "parts" 
  • ​Name 3 categories of sub-personalities that are present in therapy 
  • ​Cite the IFS concept of Self and experience it's role in our inner system to become Self-led
  • ​Identify and describe the qualities of Self 8 Cs & 5 Ps (curiosity, compassion, confidence, courage, clarity, creativity, connectedness, calmness, patience, playfulness, perspective, persistence, presence)
  • ​Use techniques to provide a direct experience of Self and parts in the system.
  • ​Explain how changes in the internal system will affect changes in the external system of an individual, family, or group.

Please Note:

This course is intended to support clinicians and coaches who cannot participate in an IFS level 1 training due to some constraint such as cost, waitlist through IFSI, time commitment or another barrier. This course is not intended to replace the need for an IFS institute level 1 training.

This course is independently offered by Inner World Collective and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the IFS Institute

Can I earn CE's for the course if I'm not a NM clinician?

Yes! Luna Counseling LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7756. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Luna Counseling LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Can I say I am IFS informed after taking this course?

Yes, you will be IFS-informed after completion of this course.

Can I bring a non-workshop participant to Ghost Ranch (friend, partner, family member)?


If you want to bring a partner, friend, spouse etc... many of the rooms can accommodate that and there is no extra charge for that, however there is an extra charge for meals is a flat rate of $165 that we will add to your cost of $1775 if a person accompanies you for additional meals. Please let us know if you will be doing this as we need to let Ghost Ranch know how many will be attending meals and add this to your cost.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes! you can choose a monthly payment plan at check out for 1, 2, 3 or 4 months.

Cancelation policy 

Cancellations can be made up to 60 days in advance and will be refunded, minus $400 deposit. Any cancellations less than 60 days before start of the program will forfeit full amount.

Booking extra nights at Ghost Ranch (READ ALL)

If you are wanting to come to Ghost Ranch before the morning that the training begins or stay some time after it ends, that’s great! It’s a wonderful place to explore! Beyond the two nights we have book for you, you will need to contact the Ghost Ranch front desk at 505.685.4333 to make those arrangements, it would be also wise to talk with them about any meals you want to have out there on those extra days, so you can include those in your stay. You already have 7 meals booked in when you pay your registration fee. PLEASE check with us around the name of the room we have booked you in BEFORE calling the GR Front Desk to book extra nights. Ghost Ranch guarantees the room type (private room or suite) but not a specific room, so while you will receive the same level of accommodation, the exact room may vary.

Getting to Ghost Ranch

If you are coming to Ghost Ranch from out of state you can fly in to either the Albuquerque Airport or the Santa Fe Airport. Albuquerque airport will be a more economical choice. We recommend that you rent a car in either Albuquerque or Santa Fe, as that will be the easiest way for you to get to Ghost Ranch. Both the Santa Fe and Albuquerque airports have rental car access.

Ghost Ranch is located on Highway 84. The address is: 280 Private Drive 1708, Abiquiu, NM, 87510-2001. This address or “Ghost Ranch, NM” can be put into Google Maps and it will take you right there. It is an hour and a half from Santa Fe, NM and two hours and a half from the Albuquerque, NM Sunport Airport.
