"No change can take place when moral judgment & criticism are present"

The Inner Game

The market
isn't the
hard part.

You already know how to trade.

The question is what happens inside you while you do it.

SCROLL TO LEARN MORE

The real challenge

Every trader has parts that show up under pressure.

The part that needs to make it back.

The part that moves too early.

The part that takes profit too fast.

The part that freezes when it's time to execute.

The part that spirals after a loss.

01    You know the setup is right — and still can't pull the trigger.

02   You exit too early, then watch the trade run without you.

03    One bad loss unravels a week of disciplined trading.

04    You've tried more rules, more pressure. It hasn't fixed it.

What is Trader's Edge

A community built around understanding the patterns that run your trading — not just fighting them.

Trading is never just about the trade. The charts are simple. The human sitting in front of them is not.

When you can make sense of your inner conflict — the urgency, the fear, the self-sabotage — you stop being run by it.

That's when real consistency becomes possible. Trader's Edge is the space where that work happens.

Not strategy. Not setups. The psychology underneath your execution.

Because when your nervous system is dysregulated, your best strategy won't save you.

Most traders try to fix inconsistency through force — more rules, more discipline, more self-judgment. But pressure alone doesn't create mastery.

Awareness does.

Trader's Edge helps you build the inner capacity to stay steady and focused — so your trading can actually reflect what you know.

Why this is different

This is not another
strategy course.

There are plenty of places to learn entries, exits, and setups. Trader's Edge focuses on the psychology underneath your execution.

"You do not need more pressure. You need more self-awareness."

Most traders try to fix their inconsistency by becoming harder on themselves.

More force. More rules. More self-judgment.

It doesn't work — because the problem was never a lack of discipline.

It was a lack of understanding of why the discipline keeps breaking down.

When you understand what's actually happening inside you at the charts, everything changes.

Not because you've added more rules — but because you've built something more durable than rules.

Who this is for

Trader's Edge is for traders who know the real work is internal.

The experienced trader
You've been trading for years. You still feel the emotional rollercoaster. You're tired of it.

The self-aware trader
You know how to trade. But under pressure, something else takes over. You want to understand what that is.

The stuck trader
You get pulled into revenge trading, overtrading, hesitation, or emotional decisions — and you can't break the pattern.

The trader ready to go deeper
You want to become the kind of trader who is calm, clear, and grounded — even when the market is not.

Trevor
Bird

FOUNDER, TRADER'S EDGE

Trevor built Trader's Edge because he couldn't find a space that took both trading and psychology seriously.

With a background in both active trading and psychological coaching, he's spent years working at the intersection of performance, emotional regulation, and self-leadership — understanding how the inner world shapes execution at the charts.

Most trading education teaches what to do. Trevor focuses on why traders can't consistently do what they already know. That gap — between knowledge and execution — is where this work lives.

Trader's Edge is built on the conviction that sustainable trading performance comes from self-mastery, not more strategy. Trevor brings both the trading credibility and the psychological depth to guide that work.

Inside Trader's Edge

Everything you need to do the real work.

Weekly Coaching Calls

Live sessions exploring the psychology behind trading. We go into the real patterns — not surface-level mindset tips — and work through what traders are actually experiencing at the charts.

Daily Practices

Daily practices designed to regulate your nervous system before the session opens. Arrive at the charts grounded, settled, and clear — not reactive.

The Community

A focused group of traders committed to honest conversation about the emotional side of trading. No hype. No performance. Just real work and real support.

Founding Membership

The first 50.
Join before the doors close.

Trader's Edge is currently open to its founding members — the first 50 traders who will help shape this community from the ground up.

Founding members receive full access — weekly coaching calls, morning meditations, and the full community — at no charge during this early stage. This isn't a discount. It's an invitation to be part of building something that matters.

Once we reach 50 members, founding access closes and Trader's Edge transitions to a paid membership. Founding members will be grandfathered in.

You’ve Felt It…

Harsh inner critics have a way of changing the room.

Someone is opening up — or you are — and suddenly a critical voice appears.
The energy shifts.
Your body tightens.
Something in you braces as you try to stay present.

You may have also noticed the opposite…
A brief moment when a critic softens, and underneath it you sense something more open, more spacious — before it closes again.

A vulnerable moment opens… and then a critic steps in and everything contracts.

This pattern shows up everywhere:
In personal relationships.
In group spaces.
In professional work.

If you’re here, you already understand the importance of working with judgment and criticism.
You’ve seen how critics show up — in yourself, in others, and in the spaces where healing and connection are most needed.

And you’ve likely felt the constraint that arises when critics enter the room —
not because you don’t know what to do...
but because staying open, grounded, and Self-led in those moments requires real internal capacity.

This experiential masterclass is where that capacity is built. Here, you’ll witness how critics emerge in real time and develop the nuance to stay present and supportive — in yourself and in others — without tightening, fixing, or losing your center.

This Isn’t Just A Protocol. It’s Capacity Building.

You already understand the IFS model.
You already know that critics matter.

You’ve seen how harsh critics impact healing, connection, and daily functioning —
whether in yourself, in people close to you, or in the spaces where growth is trying to happen.

So the question isn’t whether critic work is important.

The question isn’t whether critic work is important - it’s:
Are you ready to deepen your relationship with your own critic so you can stay open and grounded when criticism appears — inside you or around you?

Because you know this is where the work becomes both delicate and essential.

Critics carry fear, shame, and protection that don’t soften through technique alone.
They require real presence — the kind that allows something new to emerge and genuinely change the direction of a person’s life.

When the sharpness of a critic enters the space, it can still be hard to stay fully at ease —
to remain open, steady, and Self-led without subtly trying to manage the moment.

That’s not a failure of understanding IFS.
It’s a signal that more internal capacity is needed, so lets sit with the critic within ourselves and others in an open space.

Why This Work Matters

Many people come to IFS with a solid conceptual understanding.
You’ve done the course.
You’ve watched the demos.
You may already be using IFS on yourself, in group settings, or in professional practice.

But critic work is its own ecosystem- it’s where:

-Shame and judgment block access to Self

- Protective strategies escalate quickly

- People collapse, avoid, or move into their heads

- Your own inner critic gets activated as you witness the process

You’ve likely felt it:

- A moment where your presence wavered

- A critic that overwhelmed the process

- An internal voice that whispered, “I should know how to handle this.”

This experiential masterclass is designed to meet those moments directly, witnessing unravel within a space group setting — building the internal capacity to stay present and steady when critic energy is strong.

👉 Learn to sit with the Critic

Over 6 Weeks, You Will:

Move beyond understanding critic work conceptually and begin building real capacity through lived experience and group witnessing in a supportive space.

Understand the nature of critics
Learn why critics form, how they function, and what they’re protecting — not just in theory, but as you see critics arise in real time in yourself and others.

Learn the Critic Container approach
Explore a clear, IFS-aligned structure for meeting critics with steadiness and respect — while understanding when structure supports the process and when presence matters more than protocol.

Deepen your relationship with your own critic
Because how you relate to your own critic directly shapes your ability to stay open when criticism appears — internally, around you, and professionally.

Build capacity to stay Self-led in the presence of critics  For those moments when shame intensifies, protectors polarize, or your system gets activated.

Learn through group witnessing and shared experience
Watch how critics show up across different systems. Notice how your own system responds as you witness others. Practice offering support — and receiving it — in a way that builds trust, spaciousness, and ease.

Leave feeling more at peace with critics
Not because critics disappear, but because you’ll know how to stay present with them — in yourself, in relationships, and in your work — with more confidence and internal steadiness.

Apply these skills directly to client work
Practice with peers, observe demonstrations, and receive guided support.

👉 Yes — I Want These Skills

By the End of the Workshop, You Will Be Able To:

- Recognize critic dynamics before they escalate.

- Unblend effectively (your own system included).

- Stay grounded and Self-led when shame shows up.

- Confidently guide clients through critic interactions and moment of judgement.

- Understand how to work with fierce, fragile, or highly intellectualized critics.

- Bring more compassion and clarity into sessions involving inner judgment

This isn’t about adding more information. It’s about becoming more available — to yourself and the people you serve.

If You’re Reading This and Something in You Knows…

... that deepening your relationship with critics — your own and those you encounter in others personally or professionally — is the next step in your IFS journey.

Not pressure.
Not urgency.
Just clarity.

Your critic, and others' critics, deeply desire to be met not only with skill, but thoughtful spaciousness, and compassion.

If that feels true inside, we’d love to have you.

Hi I'm Trevor Bird

Certified Executive Coach & IFS Practitioner

Picture of Trevor Bird, Certified Executive Coach & IFS Practitioner

Hardships offer opportunities for wisdom. And, I had my fair share of hardships. From the beginning, my life was more about enduring rather than thriving. To avoid facing anything I didn't want to acknowledge I continued to endure. As an adult, I built a successful career and a wonderful family, often working seven days a week, sixteen hours a day. But at the end of the day, I felt empty — trapped in patterns that quietly shaped my life in ways that were uncomfortable.

Eventually, I reached a point where enduring wasn’t enough. I wanted to understand what was happening beneath the surface. I was ready to face myself. In doing so, I realized I wasn’t alone — so many of us check the boxes of life while feeling disconnected from something deeper, something more real.

Do I need prior IFS experience to join this course?

Yes — this workshop is designed for those who already have a foundational understanding of the IFS model. You may use IFS professionally, but it is not necessary. No matter the level or use of IFS you should be familiar with the core concepts (parts, Self, protectors, exiles) and have some experience with IFS personally or professionally.

You don’t need to be certified or advanced, but you should be familiar with the core concepts (parts, Self, protectors, exiles) and have some experience using IFS personally or professionally.

Will I have opportunities to practice the critic protocol during the course?

Absolutely. Each week includes live demonstrations, guided internal exercises, and optional peer practice. You’ll get real-time experience applying the protocol, along with feedback and support so you can integrate the skills into your client work.

What if I can’t attend the live sessions?

Attending live is recommended for practicing the protocol and asking questions, no recordings will be provided to protect the privacy of the individuals.

Is this course appropriate if I’m doing my own inner work with critics?

Yes. In fact, developing a relationship with your own critic is a central part of the course.
